I have moved my wife from Windows to Iwlnx - she has no isssues and is happy with it.
She plays on facebook mostly along with Office applications.

I also migrated my sister from Windows to Iwlnx - she is happy so far.

2 down, rest of the windoz world to go.

I have completed the alpha version of SysBuilder.
It is a work in progress but a great tool for the beginner that
does not want to spend the time to learn what is involved in
building a system but is in small enough chunks that you can
learn the concepts very quickly if wanted.
It will allow you to build a base system at this time.
Working on adding the code to customize the system to include
packages that you want.

Requires:
  1. a disk partition to build the new system on ( I use a 32G USB stick)
      A. You can build directly to a hd partition if you have the space.
  2. Takes about 2 days to run to completion on my laptop.
      A. It has restart capabilities but I have a few undocumented features (bugs) there.
  3. Kinda minty feeling at completion - this may change.
  4. Allows you to select desktop at runtime. I have MATE working well. Working on
      KFCE, KDE, and Gnome.

Will upload and make available this week - I hope.
Need testers - any takers?
Sure hope I am not wasting my time.

I see that after all my effort to save Pinguy that he has returned.
Problem is that I have done lots of work on a new OS.

I will have a 2.0 release soon.
I will have a SysBuilder that will build a system from scratch. (LFS base with selected UI)
I also have a section that will install all additional software to add the most useful items
that people need to get off windoz.

I have a new OSBuilder that works with most systems.

I will continue to follow Pinguy but will also support this fork.
I still want more people to work on development with me so as
not to be put in position of someone needing to step up to save the ship.
I do not want this to be a one man show.

The first release is available on the download page http://iwlnx.com/download.html

It has small updates over the 14.4 Pinguy version. It may not work well with older releases.
It has updates to isolinux.
Test only in a safe place and let me know your results.

PS - noticed a problem with the language files.
If you have a problem starting OSBuilder - delete the language file for
your language and it should work.
